Ozone is very widely used in aquaculture as a water clarifier and a disinfectant. It is very effective in recirculating aquaculture facilities as well as influent and effluent water treatment systems. PR Aqua can design and supply complete ozonation systems which are tailored to your specific needs.
There are many options for ozone addition and it is of paramount importance to design an ozone system correctly as the residual ozone needs to be tightly controlled in order to ensure optimum fish health. PR Aqua markets a wide variety of ozone generators, ozonation skids and monitoring and alarms from large-scale commercial applications to small, laboratory sized systems.

How It Works
|
Ozone can be produced using air or preferably oxygen as its feed gas. Oxygen is converted to ozone by way of a corona discharge. The gas is then fed to the injection point, at either the LHO™, oxygen saturator, foam fractionator or via venturi injector for absorption into the water. Ozone destroys bacteria and viruses. It is also very effective at aiding in flocculation, which works well for eliminating organics and metals.
